Silent Gliss and eHome2

What is eHome2?
The Energy House 2.0 laboratory is the largest test and research facility of its type, offering world leading research and academic expertise in Smart Living. Inside, two environmental chambers recreate a wide variety of weather conditions with temperatures ranging between -20˚C to +40˚C and simulated wind, rain, snow and solar radiation.  This project will provide an understanding of how to deliver zero carbon housing at scale. The homes are equipped with next generation heating and ventilation technologies as well as smart technology to enable occupants to manage their products and services at the click of a button.

How are Silent Gliss involved?

eHome2 uses Silent Gliss Smart curtain tracks and blinds. Integrated into a Loxone control system, they play a key role in the research by understanding how dynamic shading can combine with other smart-home products to provide better insulated homes for the future. System SG 5600 is installed in the dining room with Roman blinds SG 2350 used throughout the house.
